God will ALWAYS keep his promises, you just have to be patient. I am 18 years old now and it has taken me this long to really understand what God means when he says that he will keep his promises. I mean I have always understood that he loves me, that he died on the cross to save me from my sins, and that he will be coming back for soon so i can live with him forever, but as far as a promise i never really "got" it until the other day
A couple of years ago my youth group went into an amazing revival. It was awesome, and this revival has been weighing heavily on my mind this week. I think about it when i go to bed, when i wake up, when i eat, when I'm at church, I mean ALL the time. I tried to forget about it because the bible tells us not to dwell on the past and remember how great things were, but to focus on the future and look at how good things can be. During this revival God made a promise to our youth group. He promised us that we would be able to reach youth 10 exits up and 10 exits down. Well a couple of moths had passed and we gradually fell out of it. I just could not quit thinking about it. Finally the other day i had an "ah ha" moment when i put everything together. It was like God was sitting right next to me and said...the revival might be in the past, but I always keep my promises.
I believe with all my heart that another revival is coming to Revolve Student Ministries and i believe that it is going to be like nothing that we have ever experienced before. I do not know how soon this will be but it has been weighing heavily on my heart.
My Youth Pastor, or "Youth Priest", Jeremy Hitt has been writing about dreams that he has been having about these massive storms/tragedies that are coming to America. You can read about them on his blog ( www.jeremyhitt.blogspot.com ). I believe that this revival will be a part of everyhting that is about to take place in America. Bad can come from good and good can come from bad.
Gods people need to wake up and get back on the right path. We MUST humble ourselves to Gods will.
We MUST be READY!!!

TIME OUT! We don't have to follow the rules?

This past weekend i attended a CHURCH competition with my kids drama team at my church. All of the kids had a great time, and so did I. They preformed flawlessly in my eyes, and I could not be any prouder. :) Unfortunately they did not place in either category that they were entered in. That is ok though because we were not there to win, we were there to have fun, and we achieved that goal. HOWEVER, we started looking at the winners of the categories, we saw both of those groups preform, and the group that got runner up had there faces completely covered in face make-up. **When you turn in your reregistration form you are told that you NEED to purchase a rulebook.** So we purchased one for the Teen division and for the Jr. division. For a couple of weeks that was our "bible." I read through it several times, especially the drama division, and there were several things highlighted in BOLD PRINT The one i remember the most was " NO MAKE-UP is to be worn by any of the participants, except in the MIME category" Well they were not in the Mime category.
The more and more i thought about this the more and more it bothered me. Eventually i could not take it anymore, i got the book and read it again. It CLEARLY states no make-up. So i decided to call the state office about this because if we are gonna pay almost $50.00 for a rulebook then i think that the rules in it should be FOLLOWED.
Well i called, the only thing that they had to tell me was that EVERYTHING was left up to the Judges...now that makes no sense to me. I really REALLY REALLY wanted to tell her exactly what i thought about that, but i didn't, i just bit my tounge and said "thanks."
I do not believe that this is the least bit fair, if everything is left up to what the judges like then there should be NO rulebook that is RECOMMENDED to be purchased. The registration fee is already $50.00 for every category entered, surely they don't need more money.
I just feel like there should be a better process, but i don't plan to push the issue.
We went to have fun and to show people what talent that God has blessed the Children at Caffee Junction with and we SUCCEEDED. :)
